Dr. Scott Vines

Physical Therapist

I grew up in Plano, Texas and upon graduation went to University of Texas at Arlington and enlisted in the Army. I went active duty and made it to 2d Ranger Battalion followed by Recon 4-23 In, 5-2 Stryker Brigade. Although I was stationed several places, my other main duty station was Fort Hood, Texas 2009-2010 where I had surgery on my knee and that started my 18 month rehab journey which culminated in a career and enthusiasm for orthopedics, manual therapy, and pain science. I am an avid auto enthusiast, table top gamer, video gamer, gym enthusiast, rock climber, and cat Dad.

Prior to physical therapy, I was an athlete trainer and trainer for patients coming from therapy that wanted to get back to fitness training. I have been a director at three different institutions, and a lead therapist at two. I went from outpatient ortho-sports med, to inpatient during 2020 and worked primarily with COVID 19, transplants, and orthopedics. I have since been in home health, SNF, and now am back to outpatient orthopedics.

Core Values

Integrity, honesty, discipline, dedication.

“I know what it’s like to lose. To feel, so desperately, that you’re right, yet to fail nonetheless. It’s frightening. Turns the legs to jelly. But I ask you, to what end? Dread it, run from it…destiny arrives all the same. And now, it’s here. Or, should I say… I am.” -Thanos, “Avengers Infinity War”
Something that patients have to deal with that have to deal with that I want to fix is their perception of movement and what constitutes exercise.

I specialize in physical therapist; orthopedics, pain science, manual therapy, biomechanics, education.

Condition I enjoy treating are weakness and biomechanical pain that is improved by strengthening; I love watching someone with back pain think that lifting is bad, however with education and performance, they realize that strength training and lifting are good for us!

I love working at Sculpt U are the people and focus of care. I want to be able to work with and for Physical therapists who understand, know, or can follow treatment paradigms in detail.

“Due to unfortunate circumstances I was in need of some rehabilitation on my right ankle, fortunately Dr. Scott was the man for the job! Ginger at the front desk is extremely kind and always greets you with enthusiasm. Dr. Scott and his team are very professional, humorous, and create a fun and exciting road to recovery. He pushes you every visit to be better for yourself and had me go from walking in pain to being able to play sports and enjoy all of my hobbies over the course of about 8 weeks! Can’t say enough great things about this team and my experience with them.”
“I’ve unfortunately had to go to physical therapy on multiple occasions, but next time I do 😮 I’m going back. Scott Vines is very knowledgeable and informative, Ginger is wonderfully helpful and very nice. We got to work and patched me up with a quickness. I felt welcome and comfortable, no awkwardness that I’ve experienced in the past at other PT places. Everyone on his staff are friendly. I would recommend them to anyone in need of physical therapy.“
“Very positive experience. New to the area and didn’t know who to use. My physician recommend this facility and said he had heard good things about it from his patients. Scott does a through evaluation of the problem and develops a plan of care. Each therapy session he never fails to ask how you are and wants feedback on how you are progressing. Ginger runs the front end of the office. She is friendly and easy to talk to. Also organized and very efficient”
